Three Twenty Brewing Co. owners Nick and Cassandra Olson have decided to pass the torch after opening the brewery's doors in 2017.
In a press release on Friday, the Olsons announced the sale of Three Twenty Brewing to Lee Ankrum.
Ankrum has a decade of experience in the brewing industry, at LynLake Brewery and Dangerous Man Brewing Co. in Minneapolis.
“Three Twenty has been an incredible journey for our family. We are grateful for the people who make it so special. We are excited to share what we have built with a new business owner, allowing him to realize his dream and embrace the Pine City community.” Nick Olson said in the release.
The Olsons believe the transition will uphold the legacy of Three Twenty Brewing, while also bringing a fresh perspective to the brewery.
“Many things and staff will look the same at the taproom, but we are excited to see what new and innovative things Lee will bring. As we embark on this new phase, we look forward to seeing the brewery continue to thrive and be a beloved gathering place in Pine City," Cassandra Olson said in the release.
The business will change hands in mid-March, and will briefly be closed when the licenses are being processed.
Any changes to the brewery's events calendar will be updated on the Three Twenty Brewing Co. website.
In the release, the Olsons say the decision to sell was not made quickly or lightly. They expressed their gratitude in getting to serve the Pine City community.
“In starting Three Twenty Brewing, one of our goals was to grow with and within our community. We are proud of the welcoming space we have created and the connections we have formed with people, businesses and local organizations. The friendships we’ve made in our taproom have changed our lives in wonderful ways,” Cassandra Olson said.
