A three-vehicle pileup on Highway 95 west of Cambridge required one driver to be extricated and caused the roadway to be closed Thursday afternoon.
According to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, the crash began as a chain reaction when a driver, a Cambridge woman, slammed into the back of a vehicle who had slowed down due to a third car turning into their driveway.
When the Cambridge Fire Department arrived on the scene, they learned that the Cambridge woman had to be extricated from her car to be airlifted from the crash. Another driver was taken by Alina EMS to the Cambridge Medical Center for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Isanti County Sheriff's Office.
