Snowy weather on Halloween caused power outages across east-central Minnesota.
As of 6:30 a.m. on Friday, East Central Energy is reporting 2,200 members without power in the area from Milaca to Hinckley.
According to an update from ECE, wet and heavy snow on power lines has been the primary cause of the issues.
On Thursday evening, as many as about 5,000 members in the southern part of ECE’s coverage territory, including Milaca, Braham, Finlayson, and surrounding areas, were without power.
