Allegations of inappropriate conduct and contact between students are under investigation in the Siren School District.
According to a news release, the Siren Police Department was made aware of the allegations between students at the Siren Elementary School on Monday, Nov. 4.
The latest incident occurred the previous Friday. The behavior also occurred on at least one other previous occasion.
Siren police chief Trevor Thiex has conducted interviews with involved parties and witnesses, and the district is conducting a parallel investigation.
There is no additional risk to the student population at this time, and the release states that appropriate charging decisions are being considered before referral to the next step of the juvenile justice system.
Due to the sensitive nature of the case and the ages of the parties involved, no identifying information will be released.
