Single-vehicle Chisago County crash results in fatality

A single-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon in Chisago County resulted in a fatality.
According to a press release from the Chisago County Sheriff's Office, dispatch was notified about the crash on Rush Point Road near Dogwood Avenue in Nessel Township just before 4 p.m.
Deputies located a male driver inside the vehicle, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A witness reported seeing the vehicle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. According to the witness, the driver failed to navigate a curve and went off the road, striking a utility pole.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
