The Pine County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing person.
According to a news release, 86-year-old Gerald Knapp was reported missing on Feb. 1.
Knapp was last seen at about 10 a.m. on Jan. 28, leaving Askov southbound on County Road 142. He was driving a 2020 red Ford Escape.
Knapp suffers from dementia, and his destination was unknown.
The sheriff’s office believes he could be in northeastern Pine County or southwestern Douglas County.
His vehicle has been located in the northeast part of Pine County.

Regarding Gerald Knapp, the missing Askov man...Where in the northeast part of Pine County, was his vehicle found? Was it Sandstone, was it on the road, in a parking lot, etc? People may have a better idea of where to search.
