The Pine County Sheriff's Office made an arrest Tuesday after receiving a report of stolen Christmas trees in Hinckley.
According to a news release, the trees were reported as stolen from a property on the 33000 block of Cedar Creek Road.
The victim stated that several trees had been taken, and additional trees were cut and left behind.
The report said over $10,000 worth of trees had been cut down.
While on the way to the suspect's residence, officers observed multiple freshly-cut trees on the roadside, having fallen out of a truck or trailer.
At the suspect's home, they discovered more Christmas trees leaning against a strap.
The suspect, identified as Ryan Opsahl, was arrested for felony theft. Officers recovered and returned many of the stolen trees to the property owner.
