Pine County businesses affected by Executive Order 20-99 are eligible for a Fast Grant to help offset expenses brought on by the four-week "pause" announced by Governor Tim Walz.
County Administrator David Minke told WCMP, "We had some available Cares Act Funding that we received back from the cities and the townships, so we opened this program for a very short time."
Businesses that are eligible for these $4,000 grants include bar/restaurants, gymnasiums, fitness or recreation centers, theaters, cinemas, or bowling allies. If a business of this type previously received a Cares Act grant, they are still eligible to apply for a grant.
According to Minke, over 30 businesses have applied since the Fast Grant Program was announced on Friday.
Applications can be found on the Pine County website. They are due by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24.
