Pine City seeks public input on days, times of city council meetings

wcmpnews

After multiple conversations about city council meeting days and times, Pine City is looking for public input about the council’s meeting schedule.

On Monday, the city issued a public survey to gauge public interest in attending council meetings, as well as convenient days and times for attendance.

The Pine City Council currently meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., and at 10 a.m. on the third Thursday of the month.

In January, the council voted on a motion by Kyle Palmer to move the second monthly meeting to the third Wednesday at 6 p.m., but reversed course due to overlap with the Pine City school board.

Council member Dave Hill has proposed shifting to one meeting a month.

The survey is available here, and on the Pine City website and Facebook page.
