The Pine City school board voted to change their meeting schedule for the 2025 calendar year at their meeting on Jan. 6.
The board will meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. for work sessions, and the third Wednesday of the month for regular meetings at the same time.
The school board previously met on Mondays during 2024. At the meeting, chair James Foster said the day caused some scheduling conflicts for board members.
Foster initially proposed holding meetings on Thursdays, which are traditionally when varsity sporting events are scheduled.
During the Pine City Council's Jan. 8 meeting, the council voted to move their second monthly meeting (previously held the third Thursday of the month at 10 a.m.) to the third Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m.
