The Pine City High School theater program will stage a production of Grease next month.
Public performances of the musical are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 9, with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on Nov. 10.
According to theater director Becky Schueller, the cast includes 36 students from all grade levels of the high school. 16 are making their debut in their first high school theater production.
“While the film version of Grease focuses heavily on Sandy and Danny as the leading characters, the musical version is truly an ensemble effort for the production. Each cast member is featured with a solo or duet that showcases their talents,” Schueller said in a press release. “It’s been quite a fun experience to watch the students collaborate together on their ideas and vocals.”
All tickets are for general admission seating, and cost $10 for adults and $5 for students outside of the Pine City School District.
They can be purchased in advance at the Pine City High School or Chamber of Commerce office.
Pine City High School students receive free admission with their student ID. Pine City elementary students can attend for free with a paid adult ticket.
