No injuries were reported after a fire started at the Cemstone Concrete location in Rock Creek Friday evening.

According to Pine City Fire Chief Tom Miller, responders were called around 4:45 p.m. with the report of black smoke behind one of the buildings. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered flames shooting 30 feet in the air between two, one thousand-gallon propane tanks.

With the help of Rush City’s Fire Department running water, firefighters worked to keep the propane tanks cool while the gas company could respond.

Miller said the scene was cleared at 8:16 p.m. and around 100,000 gallons of water was used.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
