Lady Dragons tennis Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt with the scoop from Friday's action!
The girls tennis team continues to play well and work hard. We went 3-0 on the day as we hosted White Bear Lake (5-2), Minnehaha Academy (5-2), and Princeton (7-0).
After 12 matches in one week's time, the girls continue to improve, demonstrate stamina, and grit. The hot weather made for earlier starts, but the girls came ready to play and continue to improve. It is fun to see them work together and gel as a team. The girls are stepping up and successful due to their willingness to push each other in practice and leave it all on the court for every match.
Our doubles teams continue to dominate with their strong net play and movement. They communicate and work well with their partner. Our singles players are continuing to develop their shots and expand their game. They are doing a great job of utilizing the whole court and making their opponents use different shots throughout the match.
We are so proud of the efforts and attitude of this team. We will head to Becker on Tuesday and host North Branch on Thursday.
After school starts, we will begin our conference matches.
