The Pine City Council has accepted the resignation of Council Member Steve Ovick during a meeting on Wednesday.
Ovick has been on the council since 2013. His current term would have been up in 2024.
His resignation would be effective November 27. In his letter to the Mayor, Ovick gave no reason for stepping down.
When discussing the resignation, Mayor Carl Pederson said the public should expect to hear more about the council’s next steps in the coming weeks.
