From the Pine County Sheriff's Office:
"On May 5th at 6:38 am, Pine County dispatch received a call of a motor vehicle
accident near 560th St and Government Rd in Rock Creek.
The caller reported a vehicle off the roadway in the water. Deputies along with Pine
City Fire and Essentia ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle were found to be deceased when
first responders got to the car in the water. It is believed the car was travelling
west on 560th St when it left the roadway and landed in the water of Rock
Creek.
The deceased was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiners
Office for autopsy. The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with an accident
reconstruction.
The accident remains under investigation at this time."
