A missing man from the Grantsburg area was found deceased on Friday.
A Silver Alert had been issued by the Wisconsin Department of Justice for 84-year-old Ronald Pitts, who had last been seen in Sawyer County on Feb. 6.
According to the alert, a welfare check was conducted at his home after he missed a doctor’s appointment in Minnesota. He was not there, and his vehicle was missing.
Pitts had shown signs of dementia symptoms and memory issues.
Authorities confirmed he was found dead on Feb. 28, but did not share a location or cause of death in the case.
