Mille Lacs Co. Sheriff Investigating Homicide in Onamia

The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead near Onamia.

On Monday night, Law enforcement responded to a residence at 200 Pony Farm Road East in Onamia to conduct a welfare check. At the scene, they discovered a man dead inside. The body was then taken to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

The sheriff’s office says that they have a suspect in custody.

The incident remains under investigation.
