Lady Dragons Win Playoff Opener over Duluth Marshall

Lady Dragons tennis Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt tells us about the playoff win against Duluth Marshall.


Pine City was able to get their first round match this evening! The girls played well and the wind and weather did not stop their great play! The girls were determined and played hard. It is fun to see them driven to work hard and get better each match. Pine City won 7-0 in tonight's first round match over Duluth Marshall. Here are the individual results. 1st Singles: Brooke Boland over Rebecca Landherr 6-1, 6-3 2nd Singles: Allison Unverzagt over Brooke Odland 6-0, 6-0 3rd Singles: Lena Roubinek over Kylin Hahn 6-0, 6-0 4th Singles: Lily Struss over Amanda Winkels 6-0, 6-0 1st Doubles: Malia Mikyska/Brenna Youngbauer over Annika Schmickle/Elle Kovach 6-0, 6-0 2nd Doubles: Lexa Valvoda/Alana Linnell over Saarivi Naveen/Olivia Phiph 6-0, 6-0 3rd Doubles: Vivian Lahti/Kate Unverzagt over Emma Adamski/Gabi Merten 6-1, 6-0

Our next match will be at home next Tuesday against the winner of Crosby-Ironton and Mora. Their match was rained out and they will make it up on Monday. We will host them at 4:00 @ PCHS.
