Lady Dragons Competing Individually at the State Tournament!

The Pine City Girls Tennis Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt gave us a look at the first rounds of the individual portion of the State Tournament!

The girls tennis team had another strong day at the individual state tournament.

Brooke Boland lost in the first round to a tough player from Minnehaha Academy but battled back to win in the second round.  She played well and finished her day strong.  She commanded the court and dictated the points.  She will continue to play in the consolation rounds tomorrow.

Vivian Lahti and Kate Unverzagt had a great showing in the first round, upsetting the #2 seed.  They hustled down every ball and played strong doubles.  Their aggressive play and willingness to never give up was evident in their strong play and determination on each point.  They continued to battle hard in the second round, but fell short in the second round match to a strong Maple River team.

While the end of the season is always hard, they have so much to be proud of!
