28-year-old Jacob Howard has been sentenced for providing the drugs that killed a Pine County man back in 2019.
Howard was arrested and charged with third-degree murder in August of 2019 after selling the victim drugs in Superior, Wisconsin. An autopsy of the victim determined that he died due to an overdose of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Howard plead guilty to the charges in September of this year. He then requested to be sentenced to probation so he could attend a drug treatment program; however, the request was denied by the judge.
Jacob Howard was sentenced to seven years in prison with a 397-day credit for the time he has served on Friday, December 10.
