An 18-year-old Hinckley man pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting second-degree intentional murder and aiding and abetting first-degree assault in a 2023 Minneapolis mass shooting on Wednesday.

According to a news release from the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, Dominic Burris will serve a 278-month prison sentence in relation to a DIY concert venue shooting that killed one and injured at least seven others.

Burris was 17 years old at the time of the shooting, and was subsequently certified as an adult.

The attorney’s office previously reached a plea deal with 18-year-old Onamia man Cyrell Boyd, who was a lesser-involved co-defendant in the shooting case.

The deal required Boyd to testify against Burris, and included an eight-year public safety process with significant stayed jail time.

Burris’ sentencing will be held on March 24.
