A Harris woman pleaded guilty on Wednesday to being drunk while operating a Rush City school bus in February.
Kara Ffrench was charged with second-degree DWI after an incident where her bus went off the road on Feb. 15.
According to the criminal complaint, Chisago County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to a report of a school bus that was stuck on a complainant’s property and struck a basketball pole.
None of the 45 children on the bus were injured.
Ffrench was unable to complete field sobriety testing, and her preliminary breath test measured a 0.199 BAC.
A second breath test at the Chisago County Jail registered a 0.17 BAC.
Ffrench’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Nov. 6.
