The 2020 Cross Country season started at Treasure Haven Farms in Rush City. This is the first time in 21 years that Rush City has hosted a cross country meet.
It was the youth of Pine City that stole the show with an eighth grader winning the boys meet and a ninth grader winning the girls. Pine City placed first in both the boys and girls meets with Rush City placing second and East Central third.
Eva Johnson placed first for Pine City with an overall time of 23:54 while Charlie Ausmus placed first on the boys side with a time of 19:24.
The Thorvig family from East Central had a successful day with Tyler placing second for the boys and Cassidee placing third for the girls.
