In their final regular season home game they host rival Rush City. In their first matchup in the beginning of the season it was a wild ride. A game that went into overtime with the Tigers coming out on top 84-81. This was another close and entertaining game between the two rivals. Each team boasted a good start. The Dragons were able to go on a few more scoring runs and wound up with the lead at half 33-24.
It felt like the Dragons had all momentum in their favor heading into the 2nd half. This was not the case. The Tigers came out with something to prove and went on a 14-0 run to start the 2nd half. With a 38-33 lead all of a sudden the tables had turned and Rush City appeared to be pulling away. The Tigers held the lead till later in the game, but the Dragons were able to take the lead back on a three and they wouldn't look back. Pine City was able to slow the Tigers offense and hold on for a 62-54 lead.
With the win Pine City improves to 6-19 on the season. They'll play their final game of the regular season on the road at St. Francis on Friday.
For Rush City they fall to 5-19 and will host Barnum for their final regular season game tonight.
