Dragons Tennis Continues to Improve

The Pine City Girls Tennis Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt gave us a look at the teams Quad from Saturday!

The girls tennis team had a strong day as we hosted a quad with Minnewaska, Staples-Motley, and New London-Spicer.  We ended the day with a 2-1 finish.

We started the day with a close battle with Staples-Motley.  We had a 4-3 finish.  The girls built on their win from Thursday and continue to learn with each match.  Our singles play and doubles movement made for a great match against great competition.

In the second round, we fell 3-4 to Minnewaska having all three doubles points end with a tie breaker!  Our singles players did a great job setting up the points and battling hard in each position as well.  We are proud of the growth that teams make with each match and the girls played well to set up their points and create opportunities.

We wrapped up the day with a 6-1 finish over New London-Spicer.  Our teams dominated this match with their great placement and hard work.  The girls have great team chemistry and are fun to watch.

We continue to be so proud of this team as they improve each time we step on the court.

We will host Little Falls on Tuesday @ 4:00 @ PCHS to continue our conference matches.
