Don't worry, bee happy: Pine City will begin accepting registrations for No Mow May participants starting on April 1.
According to a notice from the city, No Mow May is an initiative to encourage residents not to mow their lawn through the month of May to support pollinator habitats.
The city also says the effort raises awareness about the environmental benefits of reducing lawn maintenance and fostering more sustainable landscapes.
Residents who are interested in participating can register until April 30. Registration is free, and late registrations will not be accepted.
Participants are required to mow and bag the grass for removal on or before June 7.
The registration form is available on the Pine City website.
