The Pine City Girls Tennis Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt gave us a look at the teams win over Foley!
The girls tennis team won a great battle tonight with a 4-3 win over Foley. It all came down to our second doubles duo of Lily Rootkie and Sammy Root with a third set victory! We knew we would have to battle hard at each position and the girls came ready to play. Our four points came from 1 and 2 singles and 1 and 2 doubles. We had close matches at the other points as well even though we fell short at those spots. We are so proud of this team as they continue to improve each time we step on the court. We had great singles points and moved the ball well. Our doubles teams continue to improve and have good movement. The aggressive play, determination, and confidence is what helped our team pull out tonight's win!
We look forward to hosting Little Falls tomorrow and traveling to Pequot Lakes on Thursday to wrap up our conference season.
We will also head to Foley on Saturday for the conference doubles tournament.
