Chisago Lakes school district voters to decide on $63.7 million bond referendum in May

Voters in the Chisago Lakes school district will decide on a $63.7 million bond referendum at an election on May 13.

According to the ballot question, the funding would address additions at the primary school, safety and security at Taylors Falls Elementary, the middle school, and high school, and various roofing replacement and parking lot improvements.

The district completed a comprehensive facilities study to evaluate needs in February of 2024.

If the bond referendum passes, construction is expected to take place between 2026 and 2028.

Voting will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 13. The polling sites are the Chisago Lakes Township Hall in Lindstrom, the Lindstrom Community Center, and Taylors Falls City Hall.
