The Burnett County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that left a pedestrian with serious injuries early Friday morning.
According to a news release, dispatch received a report about a vehicle striking a pedestrian at the intersection of State Highway 35 and County Road FF just after midnight.
Law enforcement observed a male lying in the roadway with apparent sever injuries upon arrival.
The pedestrian was transported to a Twin Cities hospital for treatment. His identity has not been released at this time.
The driver was identified as 53-year-old Webster resident Timothy White, who was arrested and charged with a first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and causing injury.
The case remains under investigation.
