With the holiday season underway, area events abound to help residents get in the spirit of the season.
On Friday, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has waived entrance fees to all 73 state park and recreation areas for Free Park Day.
Outdoor recreation options for late November include hiking, biking, nature photography, and wildlife and bird watching.
On Saturday, Nov. 30, the Mora chamber of commerce will hold its Dala Dazzle event from 2 to 5:30 p.m., including a tree lighting and holiday parade.
Illuminate Isanti will begin on Sunday, Dec. 1, and run through the end of the month, with lights on display in Bluebird Park from 5 to 10 p.m. each evening.
This year’s event is free to attend.
The Pine City Area Chamber of Commerce will hold Holiday Madness on Saturday, Dec. 7.
Activities include tours of the Light Up Downtown displays from 5 to 7 p.m., and a tree lighting ceremony in Robinson Park at 5:30, with a welcome from mayor Kent Bombard and a performance by the Pine City High School choir.
