The Cambridge-Isanti girls hockey team traveled to Rochester to play Rochester Century this past Saturday.
The Bluejackets wasted no time getting on the board in this game. Just 2:37 into the game, Cambridge-Isanti Junior Ashton Parnell scored the games first goal. Parnell scored her second goal just minutes later giving her team an early 2-0 lead. The Bluejackets kept pounding the back of the net scoring four more goals in the 1st period. Jenna Hari, Jasmyn Sibell (two goals), and Cecilia Lero helped score the four other goals in the 1st. Cambridge-Isanti didn’t let up on the scoring in the 2nd period: Mora Senior Alana Fix scored two goals, and Leah Hari also scored in the 2nd to push the Bluejacket lead to 9-0. Chloe Nelson scored the games final goal in the 3rd period, giving the Bluejackets a convincing 10-0 win.
The Bluejackets move to 2-1 on the season. Cambridge-Isanti finishes up their four game road stretch tomorrow with their game against Chisago Lakes. Puck drop is set for 7pm.
