The hockey co-op of Cambridge-Isanti, Pine City, and Mora played their second game of the season last night. They played against the Duluth Northstars.
Duluth opened up scoring in the 2nd period taking the early 1-0 lead, but the Bluejackets would quickly tie up the game. Cambridge-Isanti senior Chloe Nelson scored her first goal of the game at the 4:23 mark of the second to tie it at 1. Mora senior Alana Fix also added a goal to the board in the same period. Nelson would finish the 2nd period with her second goal of the game on a power play. The Bluejackets held a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd period. Fix scored her second goal of the game in the 3rd period to help build the team lead to three points. Nelson would add another goal on a power play in the 3rd period, giving her the hat trick. Both Nelson and Fix finished the game with four points, helping lead their team to a 5-1 victory over the Northstars.
The Bluejackets are 1-1 on the season. For their next match they travel to Rochester Century Saturday November 16th, with puck drop at 3pm.
