The Pine City Dragons Cross Country team sent two to compete at Saturday's cross country meet. Senior Alaina Steele and 8th grader Eva Johnson travelled to St. Olaf to run in the Class A State Tournament. They would be met by 173 other runners from across the state who also qualified for the Sate Tournament. Both Alaina Steele and Eva Johnson had great runs finishing in the top third. Alaina Steele finished 43rd with a time of 19:58.81. Eva Johnson finished right behind her at 59th place with a time of 20:11.0.
Hinckley-Finlayson 8th grader Reese Hartl also finished in 87th with a time of 20:32.5 Morgan Gehl of Murray County Central was the overall winner with a time of 17:53.5.
In the boys race, Cooper Lennox from Mora placed 13th with a time of 16:25.48.
