The Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets held their homecoming last Friday. The Bluejackets hosted the Chisago Lakes Wildcats.
The Bluejackets were in search of their second win on the season. Early it looked like the Bluejackets were bound for a blowout win. Cambridge-isanti scored on their first play of the game on a 66 yard rushing touchdown from Gaven Ziebarth. A couple drives later, Ziebarth would score again for the Bluejackets on an 18 yard rush putting his team ahead 14-0. The Bluejackets would block a punt and get a safety. Down 16-0 at the end of the 1st quarter, the Wildcats took control scoring 48 unanswered points to beat the Bluejackets 48-16.
Cambridge-Isanti drops to 1-3 on the season and travels to Andover in search of their second win. The Bluejackets game against Andover is this Friday at 7pm. Chisago Lakes improves to 2-2 with the win. The Wildcats play in Elk River this Friday at 7pm.
