The Section Championship games are coming up this week and Mora and Cambrdige-Isanti are still fighting for the State Tournament.
Blackduck 36 Braham 20
The Bombers fought hard but came up just short on Saturday against Blackduck. The Bombers end the season at 5-4.
Deer River 27 Hinckley-Finlayson 6
The Jaguars were close at halftime trailing Deer River just 7-6. But Deer River's depth played a big factor in the second half closing out the Jaguars. Hinckley-Finlayson finished the year at 3-7.
Mora 40 Spectrum 14
Spectrum started out the game with a long drive that put them up 8-0. Mora then ran the next kickoff back for a touchdown and it was all Mustangs from there. Mora led 32-8 at halftime and played solid defense to keep Spectrum out of the game in the second half. For just the 9th time in school history Mora has a 10 win football season.
Hermantown 21 North Branch 6
North Branch's great season comes to an end just a little sooner than they would've hoped as they lost on the road to Hermantown this weekend. The Vikings finish at 7-3 this season.
Cambridge-Isanti 55 Chisago Lakes 35
The Bluejackets picked up a nice 20-point win in the section semifinals to move on the champioship. They will host the #5 seed Andover. The Bluejackets lost to Andover by one point earlier in the season.
