Young Tiger Track Team Built on Work Ethic

Track and Field

The Rush City track and field team is a young team looking forward to the start of the season. Head Coach Mike Vaughan is looking forward to teaching his team work ethic, positivity, and perseverance.

What are you most excited for this year?

I am excited with number of athletes that have come out for track this season. I am also excited to develop this young team. (we only have 5 seniors both boys and girls)

Are you returning a lot of starters?

We have a number of athletes with state meet experience, all conference athletes and many who competed at the section meet last year.

Any upcoming milestones for your team?

None - Jamie Guptill a returning athlete who qualified for the state meet last year will be looking to set a new school record in the shot put

What are your goals?

To finish high in conference, subsection and the True Team meet, but most importantly to instill perseverance and work ethic into these young athletes

Favorite upcoming meets?

Chengwatana and Tigerama meets. - We are excited to try out our new re-surfaced track (if the snow ever melts)

Anything else you want people to know about your team?

We are a team built on positivity and always look forward to competing.
