Dragons Dominate Indoor Track Meet


Track and Field

The Great River Conference opened its track and field season last Saturday at Foley's indoor track meet. The Pine City Dragons came out strong in their first track meet of the season seeing the boys and girls winning the team meets.

Boys

Pine City dominated the boys meet taking first in nine of the 16 events. The Dragons were highlighted by senior Brandon Haskovec who finished first in the 55 meter dash and the high jump and taking second in the long jump.

Dawson Clifford for Pine City took first in the pole vault with a personal best.

Girls

The girls from Pine City were almost just as dominant as the boys almost doubling the 2nd place team in points. Ellaina Johnson and Alaina Steele received the most points for the Dragons with Kelsey Erickson and Lydia Adams right behind them.

The Dragons lethal relay teams won both the 4x400 meter and 4x200 meter races.
