The Dragons have to shake off some rust tonight when they head on the road to take on Section 5A opponent Becker/Big Lake. Pine City (16-5) hasn't played a game since clinching the Two Rivers Conference over a week ago against Mora/Milaca.
The Eagles (9-11) are coming off a 13-1 loss to North Branch. Before that, Becker/Big Lake had picked up three straight wins. Historically, this has been a game that Pine City handles easily, but that is not necessarily the case this year. When these teams met back in December the Eagles held a lead against Pine City at the end of the second period. But the Dragons did what they do best and battled back in the third to win 4-3.
The Dragons will not be able to overlook the Eagles tonight in order to stay undefeated in conference play. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 tonight at the Princeton Ice Arena and the game can be heard on 106.5 FM/AM 1350.
