Boys Basketball
Two teams will head into Hinckley-Finlayson high school undefeated in conference play. One will walk out still undefeated and in sole possession of first place in the Great River Conference. The Dragons and Jaguars meet tonight in a boys basketball matchup that is sure to be a good one. Both Pine City (12-4) and Hinckley-Finlayson (14-2) are 8-0 in Great River Conference matchups this season. The Jaguars got the better of Pine City in both games last year and are the reigning conference champions. Pine City is looking to take control of the Great River Conference for the first time in a long time.
Head Coach Kyle Allen told WCMP, "We are really excited to go up there and play Hinckley... they are playing great basketball right now." He added, "The boys are gonna be ready to go. This is gonna be a great game, two very good teams with differing styles of basketball. It's gonna be a great conference matchup in terms of two teams that are playing some good basketball and two teams that are going in there wanting to get the win."
Tip off is slated for 7:15 and the game can be heard on 100.9 FM WCMP.
